This sweet indulgence has added protein to help balance out your sugars. With only 5 grams of carbohydrates per serving and 130 calories it’s a dessert that you can enjoy for special occasions without the major sugar spike! Remember, moderation is key! 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup walnuts, hazelnuts or pecans (roughly chopped)
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate (85% or higher)
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut (unsweetened)
  • 1tbsp melted butter
  • Coarse sea salt (optional)

Directions

1.) Preheat oven to 350 degrees

2.) Toss nuts in melted butter and spread on cookie sheet; bake until sizzling and slightly browned (5-10 minutes)

3.) Melt chocolate in microwave at 50% power (15 second increments until just melted)

4.) Toss nuts, chocolate and coconut together

5.) Separate into 12 clusters and sprinkle with salt. Let cool until hardened (can refrigerate to speed up the process)
