You won’t miss the wrapper in this deconstructed egg roll. This recipe is also budget friendly and a great option to add into your meal planning routine. With only 6G carbs per serving, you can load your plate up for seconds without feeling guilty. 

**Sodium levels likely lower as most of the sauce  doesn’t get consumed**

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 head green cabbage (julienned)
  • 1 yellow onion (chopped)
  • 1 package shredded carrots
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic (or paste)
  • 1 tbsp minced ginger (or paste)
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil (or vegetable oil)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup green onion for garnish (optional)

Directions

1.) Brown pork in a large pan on medium heat and drain off excess oil

2.) Place pan with pork back on heat and add oil, onion and garlic to sauté (~5 minutes)

3.) Add ginger and cook for 1 additional minute

4.) Add shredded carrot, cabbage and soy sauce and cook until softened (~10 minutes)

 
**Can add other vegetables with minimal carb increase**
**May use ground turkey, ground chicken or shrimp**
